Oxford EarlyON - Outdoor Adventurers

Outdoor Adventurers

Welcome to Outdoor Adventurers!

We are so excited to be partnering with Oxford County Library to offer outdoor programs over the coming months!  We hope you will join us for our Playful Park Adventures and Story Stroll programs!

Let’s get outside and enjoy the weather and each other’s company!  We can't wait to see you.  Before we head out, there are a few things that we need to share with you.  Please review the following information as you consider pre-registering for upcoming programs.  Space is limited at each program.  Outdoor Adventurers program descriptions and information for pre-registration can be found below.

We will also continue to offer online programs through our Virtual Village.

Following Ministry of Education Guidelines, and in consultation with Southwestern Public Health, Oxford EarlyON will be offering outdoor programs in communities across Oxford County.  In an effort to meet enhanced health and safety measures during COVID-19, all EarlyON programs require pre-registration and participants must follow physical distancing and gathering protocols.  The EarlyON programs will be set up in a way that invites parents and caregivers to be interactive and engaged with their children.  We ask that you actively supervise your child and engage in their learning/play experiences while at the EarlyON program to ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable visit. In order to ensure physical distancing expectations are met, we ask that you please keep your children with you at all times. Please speak to one of our staff if you need any support.

In our continued efforts to help curb the spread of COVID-19, only families who reside in Oxford County will be permitted to attend in-person programs at this time. This action, in addition to many of the existing safety protocols we have in place, is being taken in an effort to keep our community safe.  We continue to welcome families within and outside of Oxford County to register for our Virtual Village programs.

COVID-19 Screening

As per Southwestern Public Health, all adults and children who attend an EarlyON Child and Family Centre program are required to successfully pass a COVID-19 screen prior to entry or participation.  Staff will confirm the successful screen upon arrival at the program.

Please Note: Only participants who have passed the screening will be permitted entry.  If you or your child show signs of any of COVID-19 symptoms, you will be asked to leave the EarlyON program.

Face Coverings

All adults and children in grade 1 or higher are to wear non-medical mask for outdoor programming when a 2-metre physical distance cannot be maintained. Masks are optional but encouraged for children older than two years and below grade 1 for outdoor programming.  Masks are not required for children up to two years of age.

Playful Park Adventures

Coming to a neighbourhood near you!  The EarlyON Team will be traveling to your community and we hope you will join us in the park for an hour of songs, rhymes, stories, and adventures...in person!  This Oxford EarlyON program will allow you to join other families and an EarlyON team in safe, physically distanced activities while enjoying the outdoors. We can't wait to see you!

In the case of inclement weather, the EarlyON team will reach out via email at least one hour before the scheduled start time. We will respect physical distancing during our walk.
